Who
Andrew Fox believes leadership is not a title — it's a decision. Over three decades in the NZ Army, he discovered that leadership is less about authority and more about showing up. He led teams on operational deployments to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Timor Leste, and Afghanistan — and lived and studied in India and Malaysia — witnessing the incredible things people can achieve when equipped with the right tools, techniques, and training.
After his final tour to Afghanistan, and armed with global insights from Cambridge and Harvard, Andrew returned home with a new mission: to grow capable, confident leaders at every level — in our families, businesses, and communities.
Blending academic rigour with boots-on-the-ground experience, Andrew developed Grounded Leadership™ — a philosophy built on the idea that effective leadership rests on being connected to people, purpose, and the environment they operate in.
Today, through workshops, coaching, and tailored programmes, Andrew helps organisations and individuals turn that philosophy into action — building leaders who create lasting impact. Based in the Wairarapa, he brings global perspective and local grounding to everything he does.
